The following information describes the admin-oriented Permissions that can be assigned to user roles.
Branch Admin
Described further under Additional Permission Information.
Choose Report Export Type
Determines if the Export Type drop-down menu is displayed when printing reports from various screens throughout Aspire. If this permission is assigned, you can export to various file types such as Excel, Word, etc. If not assigned, the only export option is PDF. This permission affects report printing for reports described in the Built-in Reports section of Reporting.
Close Month
Enables you to close monthly financials in Aspire. You must be assigned to a role with the Close Month permission before you have visibility and access to the Close Month option at the bottom of the End of Month Report.
Create Over Under Adjustment Records
The Enable Over Under Adjustments configuration must be enabled before this permission becomes available on the Roles screen. This permission allows you to view the Adjust Over Under button on the Over /Under report to adjust the over/under value for an opportunity.
Edit Budget
Enables you to create and edit annual budgets that allow charts of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to compare actual performance to plan. This permission determines whether the Manage Budget option is available on the Administration Screen.
Make Visit Checklist Items Mandatory in the Service Catalog
Suppose you have access to the service catalog. This permission will allow you to make visit checklist items mandatory if you have a system or branch admin permission enabled under your user role. If you have a branch admin permission enabled, this will only apply to the branches you can access.
Manage Custom Fields
Enables you to add, modify, and delete the definition of custom fields on the Equipment, Property Detail, and Contact screens. If you do not have this permission can still modify the values of custom fields, provided they have general access to the screen in question.
Manage General Condition Templates
Enables you to see the Manage General Conditions Template option under the Estimating section of the Administration menu so that you can create and modify general condition templates.
Manage Opportunity Templates
Gives you visibility and access to the Manage Opportunity Templates option on the Administration screen. You must have either a System Admin or Branch Admin permission AND a Manage Opportunity Templates permission. You cannot utilize the Manage Opportunity Template functionality if you do not meet the following permission criteria.
Manage Notification Settings (System)
Enables you to manage notifications at the system level so that your user role can manage notifications for all branches.
Manage Notification Settings (Branch)
Enables you to manage notifications for a specific branch(es) so that your user roles can manage notifications for the branches you can access.
Manage User Roles
Allows you to change the permissions associated with user roles or create new ones. This permission is required to manage user roles even if you have a System Admin permission.
Marketing Pro
If your company has access to Marketing Pro, this permission will be accessible and can be assigned to a user role so that the Marketing Pro feature can be viewed and accessed from the navigation menu.
Report Designer Access
It allows you to assign report designer access to a User Role in Aspire to control who has access to the Web Report Designer.
System Admin
It allows you to see and fully utilize the administration screens, except for the Manage Inventory Locations icon, which also requires View Purchasing permission.
View Routes
Gives you the option to view and edit routes on the Administration screen without having access to any other admin functions. If you have this permission, but no other admin permissions, then the Manage Routes option is the only function you can access on the Administration Screen. If you have the System Admin permission, you cannot access the Manage Routes function unless you also have Manage Routes permission.
