Aspire determines when opportunities whose estimates have been completed require approval by a manager based on workflows defined in System Administration. The workflow defines the conditions under which proposal approvals are required and the system users who may provide the approvals.

When a sales rep completes an estimate, if the proposal requires approval, Aspire sets the opportunity’s status to “Pending Approval”, and adds a Pending Estimate Approvals alert to the Alerts list of the valid approver.

When the approver selects the Pending Estimate Approvals alert option from the Alerts screen,

Aspire displays the Pending Estimates screen as depicted below.

Clicking a hyperlink in the Opportunity column displays the specified opportunity allowing the approver to review the proposal.

The approval and denial of email content are set up in the workflow on the Workflow tab of the Workflow screen.
