Notification Name | Assign a name to help you classify and identify the notification internally. |
Branch |
|
Route | Select a route to which the absentee notification should be applied. The dropdown menu only shows routes with time-based scheduling enabled. |
Property Tag | Add property tags to an absentee notification template to ensure that the absentee notification containing the property tag overrides other absentee notifications. |
Recipient(s) | Designate which employees will receive the absentee notification. You must select one or more of the following recipient types. |
Additional Recipient(s) | You can add a contact within the branch(es) to which you have access as an additional recipient. |
Grace Period | The time that must transpire after the visit starts with no clock-in before a recipient receives an absentee notification. You can set a Grace Period of your choosing within 5 - 240 minutes in minutes or hours. |
Notification Type | Select Absentee Notification (Internal). |
Trigger Type | This is a read-only field. The only option is Job Not Started in Mobile. Absentee notifications are triggered by crew members and leaders assigned to the same time-based route to ensure all crew members are clocked in by the end of a grace period. Only the member(s) or crew leader not clocked in by the grace period will not trigger the notification. Crew leaders and members working overnight visits will only trigger a single absentee notification based on the visit start time and the set Grace Period within the Absentee Notification template. So, no additional notifications will be sent for the following day that the visit spans when you have already clocked in. |
Delivery Time | The selection in this field determines when your customers will receive the notification. Currently, Immediately is the only available option. |
Message Body | You can manually type out the message you want recipients to see or click on the search icon to choose from tokens.
Formulate a message faster when creating a notification template using the placeholder text in the message body of all SMS message templates. Suppose you change the Notification Type and have not changed the default placeholder text. In that case, the placeholder text will update to align with the new notification type you have chosen. Suppose you have changed the Notification Type and the placeholder text. In that case, your changes will be retained, and the message body will not reflect the placeholder text of the updated Notification Type. |
Test | Click Test to send a test SMS about what your customers will see after you finish drafting your message.
|
Save | Save a new notification or an update to an existing notification. |
More Actions... | Click on the More menu to copy the notification you have set up. By clicking Copy, you will clone the notification details so that you can use the information from which to build a new notification. |
Adding Property Tags to an Absentee Notification Template
Adding property tags to an absentee notification template ensures that the absentee notification containing the property tag overrides other absentee notifications.
Use this feature by taking these steps:
- Create a property tag(s).
- Add the same property tag to the absentee notification that should be applied to the property.
- Add the same property tag(s) to a new or existing property.
- Double-check the grace period to ensure that the message is triggered correctly.
Creating New Property Tags
To create tags, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > Administration.
- Select Application.
- Click Lists
- Select Tag
- Select NEW from the search list screen.
- Create a Name and select Property Tag from the Type dropdown.
- Save.
Adding Property Tags - Absentee Notification Template
Once you have created the property tags, you can add them to the new Property Tag field that appears after Absentee Notification (Internal) is the chosen Notification Type. You can add multiple property tags to one template.
Keep in mind
- Absentee notifications are only compatible with time-based routes.
- Set the Grace Period based on whether you want the notification sent before or after other absentee notifications without property filters are sent.
