Accounts Receivable Permissions

The following information describes the account receivable-oriented Permissions that can be assigned to user roles.
Add Credit Memo
Enables you to add customer credit memos. You must have View Accounts Receivable permission before they can access the menu items to create credit memos.
Edit Billing
This permission is required to edit fields related to customer billing.
It is required to perform any of the following changes:
- Edit a contact that is a billing contact for any property on the Contact screen.
- Change the value of a Billing checkbox in the list of contacts on the Property Overview screen.
- Edit any of the following fields (these fields will otherwise be read-only) on the Property Detail screen:
- Separate Invoice
- Tax Jurisdiction
- Paperless Invoices
- Payment Terms
- Billing Contact drop-down on the edit
- Linking or Unlinking a Billing Contact
- Edit any of the following fields (these fields will be read-only) on the Opportunity screen:
- Sales Rep
- Invoicing Info (Popup Window)
Expiring Electronic Payment Method Alerts
Enables you to view system alerts notifying employees that customer payment methods will expire soon. This permission is only displayed on the Roles screen if the Electronic Payment feature is enabled.
Process Electronic Payments
Gives you access to the Process Electronic Payment option available in the Quick Menu in the Aspire Navigation Bar, allowing you to initiate electronic payments for existing invoices on behalf of customers. This permission is only displayed on the Roles screen if the Electronic Payment feature is enabled.
Refund Electronic Payments
Enables you to see the Refund option on the Payment screen that allows you to refund customer electronic payments that have been processed. This permission is only displayed on the Roles screen if the Electronic Payment feature is enabled.
Rejected Electronic Payment Alerts
Gives you the option to view system alerts notifying employees when the payment processing company rejects customer electronic payments. This permission is only displayed on the Roles screen if the Electronic Payment feature is enabled.
View Accounts Receivable
Gives you access to the Receivable, Payments, and Deposit search lists from the Invoice icon and the New Payment option from the Quick Menu on the Aspire Navigation Bar. Other options in the Invoice icon are made available by the View Invoice permission. This permission is required before you see notifications for failed bank deposits under Alerts in the Resource Center.
Void Electronic Payments
Gives you access to the Receivable, Payments, and Deposit search lists from the Invoice icon and the New Payment option from the Quick Menu on the Aspire Navigation Bar. Other options in the Invoice icon are made available by the View Invoice permission. This permission is also required before you see notifications for failed bank deposits under Alerts in the Resource Center.
