Article summary

The required fields subsection of the Administration menu allows you to designate which fields a user must fill on a give details page. You can customize the required fields for the Contacts, Properties, and Opportunities details page. Required Fields must be filled before changes or new information can be saved. 

Contacts

Please note that you must have the Configure Contact Required Fields enabled under your user role to view this section of the Administration menu.

The following fields can be or are marked as required on the contact details screen:

  • First Name(system default, can't be turned off)
  • Last Name (system default, can't be turned off)
  • Company
  • Contact Type
  • Branch

Opportunities

The following fields can be or are marked as required on the opportunities details screen: 


  • Division (system default, can't be turned off) 
  • Opportunity Name (system default, can't be turned off) 
  • Sales Rep
  • Sales Type 

Properties

The following fields can be or are marked as required on the properties details screen:

  • Branch (system default, can't be turned off) 
  • Property Name (system default, can't be turned off) 
  • Account Owner
  • Industry
  • Lead Source 
  • Operations Manager
  • Payment Terms 
  • Primary Contact

  • Tax Jurisdiction
