Aspire allows you to estimate multiple change order options at the same time, and then win the one that the customer chooses. The following shows change orders for a work order for which changes are being considered in this manner.
In the example provided, the original work order and a subsequent change order to remove the side yard improvement have been approved, indicated by the accepted amount. Now, the customer is contemplating backyard enhancements. Two change orders have been initiated to reflect these options.
The Status column displays the current state of each change order: Won, Estimating, Lost, or Bidding. The three-dot menu provides an option to Edit Schedule of Values specific to each change order.
When you delve into a change order's details, only the work order and won change orders are shown. For instance, drilling into Change Order 3 will display the initial estimate and the details for Change Order 1. Changes from Change Order 2 are not visible as they have not yet been approved.
Changing Contracts
It is common for landscape contracts to change while the contract is being fulfilled. Similar to change orders for work orders, Aspire supports the ability to update active contracts by creating revisions that apply to future work on the contract while maintaining the history of work already completed. Aspire allows services to be added to or removed from a contract. Additionally, existing services can be modified to change the specific items or kits within a given service.
The article, Changing Contracts in Aspire details Aspire’s change contract capability.
