You can create and manage customer payments and credit memos from the Payments Search List screen, the Payment screen, and the Credit Memo screen. This search list displays both payments and credit memos. The Payments Search List screen also allows you to create deposits for a selected list of payments. It behaves like other search lists

The Payments Search List screen is available from the Payments option in the Invoice icon of the Aspire Navigation Bar.

For electronic payments whose status is Pending or Error, displays the Electronic Payment screen.
For other payments, displays the Payment screen.

The following table describes features that are not common to all search lists.

Screen Element	Description
New icon	Hovering over this icon displays a menu providing two options: The New Payment option displays the Payment screen allowing you to create a new payment The New Credit Memo option displays the Credit Memo screen allowing you to create a new credit memo
Bulk Actions Icon	Hovering over the Bulk Actions icon displays a menu with a single option – Create Deposit. This option creates a deposit in Aspire comprised of all the payments for which you have clicked the checkbox in the list of payments. When you click this menu option, Aspire displays the Deposit screen listing the selected payments.
Electronic Payment Status Field	The Payments Search List screen displays electronic payments that are still pending completion with the payment processing company. A field called Electronic Payment Status is available for the search list. For electronic payments, this field can have one of the following values: Success – The electronic payment was successfully completed. Error – An error was encountered processing the payment. Pending – The payment has not been yet been fully processed by the payment processing company. Typically, payments will remain in this state for only a few minutes.
View Electronic Payment Icon	The advanced search for the Payments Search List screen has a field available for a display called View Electronic Payment. Selecting this field adds a column containing the View Electronic Payment icon. This icon is useful for viewing the transaction history for an electronic payment that failed one or more times before ultimately being successful. For successful transactions, clicking on the row displays the Payment screen. Clicking on the View Electronic Payment icon displays the Electronic Payment screen providing access to its Transaction History tab.
Color Coding	The screen provides color-coding to highlight electronic payments whose status is Pending or Error as shown in the screenshot above.
