 Crew Leader Route Visibility

As an Admin, you can now use a new functionality called Restrict Mobile Route Visibility with assigned Routes to limit crew leader route visibility so that crew leaders can only view the routes assigned to them. 

Configuration

Configure Application Settings

To use this feature, you will first need to enable the Restrict Mobile Route Visibility to Assigned Routes configuration at the system level by taking the following steps: 

1. Go to System Settings >  Administration. 
2. Click Configuration. 
3. Select Application. 
4. Enable Restrict Mobile Route Visibility to Assigned Routes to enable this feature. 
5. Save. 
   1. Uncheck this feature to allow all crew members to view all routes. 

Keep in Mind:

• Restrict Mobile Route Visibility to Assigned Routes must first be enabled at the system level; otherwise, it will not appear on the user details screen.  

Override Crew Leader Visibility Feature

Specific crew members can see all routes when the crew leader visibility feature is in use, enabling the View all Routes in Mobile functionality on the user details screen. 

1. Go to the Administration menu. 
2. Select Users under the User Management section. 
3. Select a user from the search list. 
4. Enable the View all Routes in Mobile option. 

Keep in Mind:

• Restrict Mobile Route Visibility to Assigned Routes must first be enabled at the system level; otherwise, it will not appear on the user details screen.  

Crew Mobile

• If the Crew Leader permission is checked under your user role, you can see all routes using the Restrict Mobile Route Visibility. Even if you are assigned as a crew member on a route, you can perform crew leader-specific tasks without restriction across all routes. 
• A crew leader who can see all routes can select a route from the menu at the top of the Schedule screen in Crew Mobile. 
  • Recall that crew leaders and crew members can see all routes under the following circumstances: 
    •   Restrict Mobile Route Visibility is not enabled by an Admin at the system level OR Restrict Mobile Route Visibility is enabled, but View All Routes in Mobile is also selected for a specific crew leader at the user level.
