Services and Service Catalog
Within the Aspire system, a service defines work that a landscape company performs on behalf of its customers or overhead tasks that employees perform on behalf of the company. It is not unusual for any landscape company to offer a hundred or more services. Examples of services include; Weekly Maintenance, Irrigation Repairs, Plant Installation, Hardscape Installation, Snow Plowing, etc.
In Aspire, the service catalog represents the list of services your company provides to your customers, which can be included in an estimate. Services must exist in the service catalog before they can be added to an estimate on an opportunity.
Service Types
Service Types are used to classify services and associate service types within a division. They allow a more detailed breakdown of services than what is provided by divisions.
Catalog Items
Within the Aspire system, a catalog item is specific to labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, other items, or kits that are required to perform a service. As part of Aspire setup, items your company commonly uses to provide services are established in the Item Catalog.Opportunities
Within the Aspire system, an opportunity represents potential or actual work that the landscape company will perform for a customer associated with a single agreement. Opportunities are introduced more fully in the Opportunities section on CRM.
Annual Budgets
Aspire supports the creation of annual high-level financial budgets against which progress can be tracked throughout the year. Once a budget is established, two mechanisms are provided for comparing actual progress with the budget:
The budget represents your company’s annual plan and should be established before the start of the year, reflecting expected monthly revenue and cost per branch. Since the KPI charts show forecasted work or actuals versus budget, it is necessary to enter the budget numbers against these comparisons. Aspire will allow users within your company to create one budget for each fiscal year. Budgets are commonly created using spreadsheets and then recorded in Aspire.
Annual budgets are created from the Budgets Search List screen Manage Budget icon under the Administration functions, which are made available to users by the Edit Budget permission.
