Rich text formatted (RTF) fields are data entry fields that allow you to apply formatting such as bold, italics, underlining, and more, to information that you type into the field. The following list provides a few examples of where RTF fields are provided in Aspire:
- Notes field at the bottom of the Appointment screen
- Proposal Description 1, Proposal Description 2, and Invoice Notes fields on the Opportunity Detail screen
- Ticket Notes and Service Notes fields on the Work Ticket screen
- Description field on the Site Audit Category screen in Admin
- Invoice Notes field on the Invoice Notes tab of the Invoice screen
- Notes field on the Credit Memo screen
- Notes field on the Payment screen
- Notes field on the Event screen available from the Events Search Lists screen accessed from the Log Events option on the Invoicing icon in the Aspire Navigation Bar
- Notes field on the Service screen in Admin
- Notes field on the Catalog Item screen in Admin
- Notes fields on Activity screens for appointments, tasks, issues, and emails
When you click on an RTF field to enter data, Aspire displays an RTF Editor that allows you to enter text and provides controls to support text formatting, as shown in the image below.
Fullscreen Editing
You can instantly see a fullscreen view of their writing by selecting the fullscreenicon in any of our Rich Text Editor windows. This new functionality makes viewing and editing long-form messages and descriptions easier.
Note:
Be advised when typing in the RTF editor, pressing the Enter key starts a new paragraph, visually adding additional space between the two lines. To get single spacing, hold down the Shift key while they press the Enter key. This starts a new line but not a new paragraph. Visually, it provides single spacing.
