When a crew leader who has been set up with the Prompt for Sub Crew Size in MTIME option, logs time to a job for a multi-person crew in Crew Mobile, office personnel can view the time on the Time Entry screen. The image below (Logging Multi-crew Time) shows crew leader Emanuel clocking in with two additional crew membersa, and then starting time on a quick ticket on New for the property, “Edward Jones Eric”b
To create a quick ticket, select New in the lower right corner of your screen from the Schedule screen. Then, select a property and then choose Crew New Ticket.
The second diagram (Viewing in Time Entry) shows what this logged time looks like on the Time Entry screen.
In the Aspire desktop application available to office staff, the Time Entry screen depicts the subcontractor time as depicted above. Note the following:
- The actual time clocked is allocated to the crew leader – in this case, Emanuel Atem.
- Since the subcontractor indicated that there were two crew members in addition to himself, the crew time double’s the crew leader time and is added to it.
- When the time administrator accepts the time by clicking Save, Aspire generates drive time which it always has, by distributing time not allocated to work tickets. However, in the case of the subcontractor crews, drive time is only allocated for the crew leader – not for the team.
- Aspire expects the difference between clock time and allocated job time to reflect the time spent by the subcontractor crew.
