Create and Complete an EOM Checklist

Overview

Use the EOM Checklist report to review month-end reconciliation tasks before you close an accounting period.

This article explains how to create, review, and complete an EOM Checklist. For an overview of the feature, visit EOM Checklist overview, or for a more in-depth reference, visit EOM Checklist module reference.

Requirements

  • Access to the Reports module

  • View Drilldown Reports – EOM Checklist permission

  • Access to applicable operational modules (Work Tickets, Invoicing, Inventory)

Create a new checklist

  1. Go to Reports > Standard Reports.

  2. Under Accounting, select EOM Checklist.

  3. Select the New Checklist button.

  4. In the New Checklist window:        

    • Select a date in Select Date.

    • Enter a name in List Name.

  5. Select the Save button.

The checklist displays in the report list.

Open an existing checklist

  1. Go to Reports > Standard Reports tab.

  2. Under Accounting, select EOM Checklist.

  3. Select the checklist from the list.

The checklist opens and displays module cards.

Complete checklist items

  1. Select a module card (for example, Work Tickets).

  2. Review the embedded list or linked report for that module (for example, WT – Open).

  3. Apply filters as needed to focus your review.

  4. After validation, select the Complete button for that task.

  5. Select the Save button if prompted.

Note: Completion applies to the checklist instance for the selected accounting period, even if you’ve applied filters while reviewing.

Close the month

Important: Closing the month locks accounting records across all branches for the selected accounting period. Records cannot be edited or reversed after the close.

  1. Open the checklist.

  2. Scroll to Close Month in Aspire.

  3. Select Close Month.

  4. In the modal, select Last Month Closed and Accounting Period to Close.

  5. Select the Save button.

Delete a checklist

  1. Go to Reports > Standard Reports.

  2. Under Accounting, select EOM Checklist.

  3. Locate the checklist in the list.

  4. Select the three-dot menu next to the checklist.

  5. Select Delete.

  6. Confirm the action.

Note: Deleting a checklist does not reopen a closed month.
