Use Contacts in Aspire Mobile

Optional Workflow Change:

This change is optional to add to your existing workflows.

Account Managers, Sales Reps, and other field-based roles can now search, view, edit, and create contact and property records directly in the Aspire Mobile app — with offline access to recently viewed records.

What's changing with Aspire Mobile CRM?

Previously, Account Managers and Sales Reps who needed CRM data in the field had to use Aspire's legacy mobile-responsive website, a web experience without offline capability that provided limited functionality on smaller screens. With 6.30, the Contacts and Properties modules are available directly in the Aspire Mobile app. Users can search, view, edit, and create contact and property records with full field validation, dirty data protection, and offline access to recently viewed records. Administrators control access through a new set of hierarchical mobile permissions under user role configuration.

Before and after

Before (current)

  1. Open a web browser on your phone and go to the Aspire Cloud mobile-responsive website.

  2. Wait for the page to load — an active internet connection is required at all times.

  3. Search for a contact or property through the limited mobile web interface.

  4. View or update the record with restricted functionality and no offline access.

  5. Lose access to CRM data if you move to an area without connectivity.

After

  1. Open the Aspire Mobile app and tap Contacts or Properties in the navigation bar.

  2. Search by name, email, phone number, or address to find the record you need.

  3. View full record details, then tap Edit to update or tap + to create a new record.

  4. Continue reviewing recently accessed records even without internet connectivity.

Impact: Account Managers and Sales Reps can manage contacts and properties directly in Aspire Mobile, eliminating dependence on the legacy mobile web experience and enabling reliable field access in low-connectivity areas.

Who's affected?

Market segments: All Business Types (Residential, Commercial)

Roles impacted:

  • Account Managers — Primary users. Access contacts and properties during client visits, update records on-site, and create new contacts when picking up new clients in the field.

  • Sales Representatives — Primary users. Search contact and property details before and during sales calls, and log new contacts from the field.

  • System Administrator / Branch Admin — Configuration. Turn on Contacts and Properties access for each user role and set hierarchical permission levels (View, Edit, or Create) under the Mobile section of user role configuration.

How to prepare

  1. Review your user roles: Identify which roles need access to Contacts and Properties in Aspire Mobile. Account Managers and Sales Reps are the primary audience.

  2. Configure mobile permissions: Go to Administration > Configuration > Application. Under the Mobile section for each user role, turn on Contacts and Properties and set the appropriate permission level — View, Edit, or Create.

  3. Prepare for offline behavior: Understand that recently opened records are cached locally for 30 days. Records not accessed within 30 days are removed from the device. Full datasets are not available offline.

  4. Update training materials: Revise onboarding and field training documentation to reflect the new Contacts and Properties modules in Aspire Mobile.

  5. Train your team: Conduct hands-on training sessions with Account Managers and Sales Reps before the Early Access release. Focus on searching, viewing, editing, and creating records from the app.
