Understanding Site Audit Types and Categories
Site Audit Types
Site Audit Types are the different reasons or ways that your company may do inspections at a customer's job site. Reasons can include:
Checking the quality of a site based on a customer issue
Reviewing work done by a new hire as part of their training program
Pointing out additional issues on the property, beyond current services, as a way to upsell enhancements
Evaluating the compliance of cleaning procedures
Ensuring that performance meets the required industry benchmarks for hygiene and safety
They can also be split by types of work:
General Landscape
Irrigation Check
Install Inspection
Commercial Clean Quality Inspection by Room/Area
Post-Construction Cleaning
Health & Safety Compliance
Categories
Categories are the individual considerations that are scored within the overall site audit. For instance, if a Site Audit Type of General Landscape was created, then a few categories that could be audited are Turf, Shrubs, Hardscape, and Edging.
For Commercial Clean, you may structure your categories by room such as Offices, Restrooms, etc., or by surface area such as Floors, Tile Walls, etc.
Note
Audit Categories may apply to multiple Item Types.

Adding Site Audit Categories

On the Administration screen, click the Site Audit tab.
Make sure you’re on the Categories tab.
Click New

On the New Category page, enter a Category Name. This should clearly tell the auditor what they’re rating or leaving feedback for.
Select any Services the Category should be associated with.
Now, select the Site Audit Types this Category should appear in. You can select as many as you want.
Enter a display order value. This determines the order in which Categories appear under the selected Types.
If you want to add instructions for scoring a Category, add those in the Notes field.
Lastly, use the Tags field to add pre-defined Category responses auditors can quickly select from.
