Using Aspire Cloud in Mobile View

Prev Next

Sometimes you need to take Aspire Cloud on the go without lugging along your laptop or look up information in the field without calling the office. That’s why we provide Mobile View.

When using Aspire Cloud in a browser with a viewport that’s less than 1024 pixels wide, like on a phone or tablet, some Aspire features are unavailable or limited. This limited view is called Mobile View which gives you access to key modules and information that are useful when in the field. Keep reading to learn what’s different in Mobile View.

Identifying Mobile View

The easiest way to tell if you’re on Desktop View or Mobile View is to look at the navigation bar. If it’s on the left side of the screen, you’re in Desktop View. If it’s at the top of the screen, you’re in Mobile View.

Two tablets, one showing the desktop view and one showing the mobile view.

Using Mobile View

In Mobile View, page layouts are more vertical than in Desktop Mode. To access modules, select the three-bar icon in the top left corner of the screen.

Several specific modules have limited functionality, described in the sections below.

Tip

To learn how to force Desktop View on a small screen, read our article about Aspire recommended and minimum requirements.

Activities module

In Mobile View, the Activities module only shows items assigned to you. You can still respond to issues and tap the plus icon next to the search bar to create any new activity type except a milestone.

Contacts module

In Mobile View, the Contacts module doesn’t automatically show any contacts. Instead, you have to search for specific contacts to view their information.

Two screenshots. One shows the contacts page with the search bar active. The other shows a contact page.

When viewing a contact, the Activities, Attachments, Custom Fields, Property, Notification Logs, Payroll, Pay Rates, HR, and Scorecards sections aren’t shown in Mobile View. Bulk actions also aren’t available within the Contacts module.

You can still tap the plus icon next to the search bar to create a new contact.

Properties module

Like with the Contacts module, you have to search to view a property record, and bulk actions aren’t available.

Two screenshots. One shows the Properties module with the search bar active. The other shows a property record.

When viewing a property record, the Notification Log isn’t available, but the Next Activity and Issues sections and any Contacts that are tied to the property are available.

The property’s account balance, previous or next visit information, company, and account owner aren’t available in Mobile View. However, the Production Manager is still visible.
