Core Updates

Integrations

Avalara Tax Integration

Automate Sales Tax and Use Tax calculations with the new Avalara integration:

  • Automatically calculate Sales Tax during estimating and invoicing to improve tax accuracy.

  • Accrue Use Tax on Purchase Receipts based on vendor configuration, enabling you to record vendor tax liabilities without manual calculation.

To enable this feature, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM). This integration requires specific configuration and an active Avalara subscription.

Invoicing

Invoice File Name Update

Beginning with version 6.29, Aspire will remove the “#” symbol from system-generated invoice PDF file names.

For example: Invoice#12345_Invoice_12345

This change does not affect invoice numbering within Aspire, only the PDF file naming convention.

This update improves compatibility with external portals and cloud-based document management systems that restrict special characters in file names.

If you rely on automated workflows, parsing scripts, or downstream systems that reference the “#” symbol in invoice file names, review your configurations prior to production rollout to avoid disruption. Contact your CSM with any questions.

Early Access

The following features are part of Aspire’s Early Access program. Early Access allows you to test new functionality before general availability and provide feedback.

To request access, contact your CSM.

Invoicing

Visit Note Images on Invoices

Give your customers visual proof of completed work using images from work ticket visit notes – without showing visit note text.

  • Make space for images in your invoice templates with new Web Report Designer fields.

  • Choose which work ticket images are available to show on invoices with the new Images available on invoice checkbox.

  • Choose which images to actually include on the invoice with a new Images Included on Invoice side panel.

Aspire Mobile

Aspire Mobile Improvements

This release includes improvements to workflows, expanded functionality, and increased performance reliability.

  • Personalize navigation preferences: Pin frequently used features to the navigation bar for quick and easy access.

  • New section for Mobile permissions: Easily locate all mobile permissions in the new Mobile section under Configuration.

  • Boost crew efficiency with equipment changes: Switch equipment without stopping active work timers on work tickets.

  • Work offline: Maintain field productivity with automated request timeouts that enable seamless offline work.

  • Sync statuses: Prevent data loss and maintain operational efficiency with sync statuses. Check the sync queue for a list of any unsynced data.

About the cowboy hat icon

The cowboy hat marks features that come directly from customer requests. YAWL means "you asked, we listened." When you see this icon in the release notes, it highlights an improvement based on real-world feedback. Unless otherwise noted, these features are included for all users as part of the release.
